Hmmm... Breakage somewhere in my X packages (or configuration). Everything works with startx but with xdm something (I'm not sure what) segfaults. Bah.

Update: Apparently not a segfault. The "Caught signal 11" message I read in some log must've come from somewhere else. It was a silly typo bug in the 4.1.0-7 debs.

Running ext3. Feels good so far.

Participated in the swedish ACM Programming Contest on the weekend. My team finished in 23d place, with one measly correct solution. Not so good, but it was the first time we participated. Coderunners won again, of course.

I've got my computer! Now, everything is as it should be in my world.

Tomorrow, I move in to my new home. A real home, at last.

Tai Chi Chuan is good. But difficult.

I'm skipping classes to hang out at the computer society. Not good. I have lost all motivation for my math courses. I wonder where it went and how I'm supposed to get it back.

And no, it's not because of the World Trade Center disaster. Sure, it's awful, but not more so than mass executions and ethnic cleansing in Africa or former Jugoslavia. It certainly hasn't changed my world view notably. And of course ESR doen't speak for me, as usual.

Go ahead, flame me.

Did some concentrated programming and brought the anygui PyGTK backend up to date.

I'm sitting in a lab on campus, helping people I don't know with lisp. I'm not good at lisp, but I'm better than them. I wish I had a programming course this term. But I haven't. Only maths. Calculus and linear algebra. Bah. Must eat. Food. Then sleep.

I've got somewhere to live! I'm happy now! Weee!

I shouldn't be a Journeyer, though.

Maybe more later.

Agh. Moving from a user-friendly Debian system with at least a year's worth of configuration files to Solaris boxen without most of my favourite software is certainly a painful experience. CDE sucks, pine sucks, Solaris vi sucks. Bigtime.

Discovered some sort of clash between mutt (which I had to install) and procmail, probably related to locking. Fills up my mailboxes with null bytes occasionally. Hmmm...

In Linköping. Very busy week behind me, and another one coming right up. It's loads of fun. Living situation sort of resolving too.

Cut my hair today. Now it's much more maintainable, which is good considering that I have some interesting times ahead of me, with no place to live... A real rock 'n roll lifestyle.

PyQt compilation is *extremely* slow. I'm thinking about writing a PyQt backend for anygui, hoping that it won't be so hard now that I've done a PyGTK one already. I only have to learn Qt, but that can't be much harder than GTK+, methinks. We'll see...
