Fixed a bug in BusyBox mount in which it had trouble mounting loopback files on read-only filesystems. The MS_RDONLY bit was being cleared instead of set after mount realized it wasn't going to be able to mount the filesystem read-write.

Eliminated an obsolete function, strdup_substr, from BusyBox.

Started writing an adventure-like front end to DebConf.

dhclient returns 0 even if it was unable to configure the interface, so I changed the boot-floppies to check whether the interface is up, rather than relying on this value.

Submitted fixes to a number of bugs in the Debian web pages. I'm not in the debwww group, so I couldn't update the scripts myself. Hopefully someone else will pick up the patches.

I also tested the latest set of woody boot-floppies. The clock was set incorrectly and tasksel wouldn't start. Cosmetically, debootstrap's progress messages are useless and the base-config introductory message contains a little white lie.

Investigated some boot-floppy problems.

Went to the Los Angeles instantiation of the Warped Tour, saw The Bouncing Souls, The Deviates, and Rancid play for the first time, helped break up a fight, tripped in the pit, and had my head slammed into the pavement, cutting my eyebrow. Bought a Rancid t-shirt. Went to the hospital and waited 2 hours and 15 minutes for 4 stitches.

Hacked the boot-floppies to allow PCMCIA configuration to be aborted.

I didn't get any hacking done this weekend. I went to San Francisco instead. I don't think a cooler city exists. While there I had my first Eritrean cuisine, which was excellent (and you get to eat it without silverware). It was on the southwest corner of Hayes and Divisadero if anyone is interested.

I also saw The Laramie Project at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre. It was quite good. And I visited Ring Mountain on the Tiburon Peninsula, Twin Peaks, the Castro, and Golden Gate Park. And more.

Yippee! I successfully installed sid using woody boot-floppies. And I only had to hand-edit two files.

I've been fixing a bunch of bugs that I noticed while doing so. The next boot-floppies iteration will probably be ready for widespread testing.

Submitted a patch to fix case-sensitivity problems in the listing page of the GNU Free Software Directory.
