After some years in Free Software and in companies, I am still amazed how rather young people handle their project with maestria, while senior one are able to screw them in companies. (66% of project are late). I would be interested in formalizing a little bit the key to success in free software/open source project. At least I'd like to be able to write a cookbook for project animation in our community. I do not call it project management, because I see no-one feeling managed, but rather contributing. They feel like doing it, it has nothing to do with management (handling lower rank worker), but animation (making your project attractive enough so that contributors comes to you).
