Great weekend of gIDE/gnome-build/gnome-debug/gdl hacking. We have a control that provides a build info control and you can click on errors and such to jump to files and line numbers. Got syntax hilighting going for a few more mime types and campd is tidying up some debug issues. Mark Benvenuto has started sending us patches, hooray!

Not a lot else happened. A lot more people left, ettore, notzed and federico freed up our couch.

Watched a bunch of movies this weekend, The Prophecy, Southpark, Lethal Weapon, Conspiracy Theory - couch hacking is a good thing.

There was a distinct lack of beer this weekend, but excellent Japanese food. Turns out I might like sushi after all.

My brother will probably swing by for a few days this week. More visitors next week.

The end of recent gnome-pilot hacking is near. A couple little bits of tidying and then back to evolution.

Jimmac made some nice gIDE icons.

Drinking culture was ok, but lots of fun people are now gone. Sigh.

Woohoo, got to start planning my attack on the New England Poker Classic. Going to try and play in one limit and one no limit event. Mmmm. No Limit. See Rounders.

The gnome-pilot hacking continues. Egads this is taking a while. An open office tshirt arrived in the mail today from a kind lwe soul. Can't let jody see that!

Had a great gIDE "summit" with campd today. Bugzilla'ed a bunch of stuff, made time estimates and defined a feature set for the guadec-2001 milestone. The pressure is on now the meeks even referred to it in his diary!

So it turns out that Saturday's party goal was to get rid of 15 extraneous bottles of beer. There are now 37 at the house. If this is what happens, I should host parties often.

Saw a lot of people off at the Boston Beerworks on Friday now that the evolution summit is over. Afterwards me, sean, notzed and rachel hit the Burren. Never seen it so crowded - the bloody Guiness Toast thing.

Arrived at the casino 10 minutes too late for the poker tournament. Taylor and I played 5-10 Hold'em and took home about $140 each after 4 hours of play.

Hit rachel's party on Saturday night. Much drinking by all. notzed brought wine and zambucca. federico took care of the white russian making. I just brought beer.

The evolution summit proceeds. Man are there a lot of bloody meetings.

Everyone has moved to the new office. It pretty much rules. I have a big desk and a file cabinet and drawers. Lots of space. And more than one meeting room. VC funding is ok by me. The commute sucks though.

Good italian food in the North End on Tuesday. Jillian's for a company thing last night.

Discovered damon plays chess. Excellent.

Saw Brother Where Art Thou tonight. Mediocre.

Poker tournament on Saturday.

Sigh. Tara is gone, as usual the girlfriend visit went too fast. Atleast I got to see her again. Went bowling and beer drinking with Ximian on Friday. Watched 8mm (very disturbing film) and My, Myself and Irene (so-so).

Dinner tonight with all the evolution hackers and assorted others who are in town for the week. federico is crashing at my place. Let the summit begin!

First day at the new office tomorrow.

Gnome-pilot capplet work continues unabated.

Another successful drinking culture. Tied the attendance record! Started out with ettore, meeks and clahey. Quickly escalated as taylor, fejj, rachel and company arrived. notzed came in country and after 30 hours on a plane was still willing to drink. My kind of drinker.

Girlfriend arrives tomorrow. At last! Evolution summit begins next week.

Said good bye to the mexican contigent, chema, hpj and arturo are all flying the coop. Nice dinner and beer tonight.

lauris has arrived.

Did some libical fixing and worked on figuring out how to cleanup the gnome-pilot capplet. Started three re-writes and threw them all away.

Time to start prepping for my girlfriend's arrival on Thursday.

Poker tournament today at Foxwoods casino in Conneticut. It was awesome. $20 to get in and $10 rebuy. I played for about 3 hours and finished in the top 1/3, not bad for a first try out of 120+ players. Taylor (nat and miguel's roomate) did pretty good as well.

Watched Taylor and his friend Emily play craps and blackjack for a while afterward.

Transported the haggis from the office fridge to home in preparation for Burn's Day (observed).

Good work week lots of hacking on lots of different modules. Evolution, gnome-pilot, libical.

Drinking culture on Wednesday was hugely successful with all the out of towners in Boston. 14 people and many pitchers of beer later...

Poker night on thursday was ok, lost about a buck and broke even playing clahey heads up no-limit.

Dave is almost ready to check in the new uber gide plugin system.
