I didn't went to the radio this thuesday, i just didn't feel like going. As a matter of fact i'm thinking about stop doing LinuxFM, i feel like i don't have the energy to continue doing it in solo.
Also the University LUG is looking more depressing every week.
The power cord of my ibook broked and i had to leave it at the repair center, i have 70% (2hrs aprox) of battery charge, what should i do with that :?
I'm trying to get an Internship in some cool place to work in vacations (summer or winter). However the fact that most of the c o o l places are in the US and I'm a mexican citizen doesn't help me.
Also my switch in focus from development to advocacy in the last few years also doesn't help me much :-(.
Any way I'm sending some emails around. I traslated my résumé to english.
I'll give my überpopular talk about Open Source tomorrow in the Instituto Tecnologico de Nuevo León.
Vacations are bad for me. I'm dying of boredom.
There had been a while since someone other than me was in LinuxFM, today Ricardo Cruz and Daniel Diaz stoped by. We made a good program.
Today i found a machine labeled "DIGITAL DEC 2000", it haves a very strange keyboard with a phone-like connector and a big (21" maybe) monitor with a even stranger connector (three cables labeled R(ed), G(reen) and B(lue). I pluged everything and powered it on, some lights went on in the computer, but there was no signal on the monitor :(, unfortunely i had to leave and didn't investigate further.
Now i can't find the specs of the machine as i don't know enought details about it, and there's a big range of machines that can be called a DEC 2000 so it's hard to know. I'll be thinking about that stupid machine all the weekend.
I'm currently sited around a DECpc axp 150 (alpha), a Sun Ultra 10 (ultra sparc) an Apple iBook g3 (ppc) and an IBM Netvista (x86). All of them are running Debian GNU/Linux.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
