Damn, school is almost over but it is still sucking my life, i have worked a little in my chess engine and it is more strong every day, other than that i don't have time for anything :|. I'm almost all the time in the fucking school, cool it will be over in a couple of weeks.
A new Man vs Machine match as begun, the players are old know people in the bussines, Super GM Garry Kasparov, the only World Champion ever to loose to a machine (the migthy deep blue) vs Deep Fritz, one of the olders, strongers, and populars comercial chess engines, you can follow the match at http://www.x3dchess.com/. The first two games where great, in the first Kasparov got an avatange, he was up the excange, but missed a combination where fritz got a forced draw. The game two Kasparov, in time trouble, missed a combination that gave up the game to Fritz, so the match is 1.5-0.5 in favour of the Machine (or in favour of the man as a toolmaker some people say).

I went to the anime convention this saturday, it was like all the years, nothing new to see, i didn't buy anything.
It others news i implemented transposition table, quiesce and move repetition draw to my engine, it is still kinda weak but it's improving.
Tomorrow is the anime convention in the city, i'll be there.
I went to a Chess tournament yesterday and today, my first tournament ever i got a 3 score out of 5.
I have been working more lately on my chess engine, yesterday (or was it the day before ?) i was able to complete a full game against sjeng without crashing, my engine also beat sjeng searching at deep 1 and got a draw at deep 2 (my engine was searching at deep 4, sjeng at 1 and then 2).
Then i optimized some things and managed to be able to search 6 full plys (well full with alpha-beta prunning :P).
Then i played a game against it and it BEAT ME !!!. I created something better than me, a big shock after you think a little about, of course i played some more games and i won all of thoses, but it beat me the first time and with a ugly evalution function, i think it will be able to beat me all the time in little while.
I'm im posting this enty with this new blog entry poster than sudenly appeared in my foot menu a few days ago :-P. I don't have much to say i'm just testing. My site.
Tuesday i won in a simultaneous exhibition of chess against the chess coordinator of the school, Mr. Robledo, i won a t-shirt :).
I parted to Saltillo tuesday night with Humberto and Ivan we arrived to Satillo at around 11:00PM after leaving my stuff at the hotel we went to eat tacos, i got tacos of pastor and barbacoa, good tacos. Then back to the hotel to sleep.
The next day a 7:30AM my phone rings and wakes me up, the guys that come to pick me up, darn. After a shower we leaved to the Tecnologico de Saltillo, i arrived and noticed that nor php, nor apache was installed in any machine :|. Well the organizers quickly installed everything and the workshop started, it was good i got a confortable feel out of it.
I ended at 2:00PM and then went to eat Chinesse food with Humberto and Ivan. Then went with Humberto to drink some beers then back to Monterrey with Ivan and the two guys who picked me up in the morning (i don't remember their names).
Music: I have been listening to this group called Sonata Arctica (sorry, no link), they play a very good Power Metal.
Chess Engine: I had no worked on it lately , until sunday when i started hacking on it again, it can almost play a game now.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
