• People who say "it's all about oil".
• Ill-informed Americans like mglazer, who forget that the U.S. has never beaten anyone stronger than Mexico without allies.
• Fellow Europeans who use anti-Americanism as a socially acceptable way to express xenophobia.

Hmm. the tone of the above didn't come out quite right. I'm sorry about that. It's a serious matter which deserves serious consideration.
