After a correcting 2 bugs my webpage validates as "HTML 4.01
Strict". This means it looks like i want it to only in
Galeon/Mozilla, but somehow I don't even care...

The article "Copyright
Extensions threaten Free Software" has gotten some
interest. I'll be changing it to the FSF Europe site today
or tomorrow.

Now I'm going to work on my thesis...

My new webpage is up.
I'mstarting to like this design :). There are a few docs I'd
like to put there, but otherwise it's pretty much what I
wanted (OK, it's still not oriented for each class of user,
but that project will take a longer time).

Meanwhile the draft version of the thesis is delivered.
My professor wants me simply to rewrite it. I'm not really
feeling like it... :(

I've sent an article
on DMCA/EUCD and free software to the discussion
mailing-list on FSF Europe. Let's see if we get this
moving...

Finished the draft version of my thesis. Now to deal with
the bureaucracy needed for delivery. Why do I hear the
"Mission Impossible" theme in my head everytime I think the
deadline is friday ?

The webpage is going along fine with the discovery of a
few more features of XSL. It has already about half the
content I want to put there (that's the best ratio in my
personal webpages so far :)). Now I only need a decent
design...

All other projects are waiting for the thesis' delivery
(well, except for one, but I can't talk about that one know).

In the last few days I've been working on my thesis and I've
just sent a version to my professor. I'm starting to think
it's not what I wanted it to be but I don't care anymore, I
just want to finish it and get on with my life.

I've also started redoing my website, but I want to go to
the gym tomorrow morning and understand what strange thing
is happening between GnuPG, evolution and accented chars in
e-mails that is screwing up signature validity. We'll see
what happens.

I've taken another look at the OpenOffice code that uses
the clip library and it shouldn't take more than 2 days to
change the library, ignoring the debugging time :).

Yesterday I finally regenerated my SSH RSA and GnuPG keys
(my last ones were lost when my laptop's disk decided to
crash). So the next task on this front is redoing my
webpage... I think I'll use XHTML + XSL this time. The
experiences with FSF
Europe and ANSOL's
websites have convinced me that it's indeed a useful
solution.

Finally somebody called my attention to the fact that
Debian doesn't generate all the locales automatically... In
an obviously unrelated note, perl stopped issuing those
annoying warning messages about locales and gnumeric started
showing accented characters.

My decision to avoid proprietary software got me to
realize OpenOffice is not in the lot of free software. It
still needs a polygon clipping library that is proprietary.
I found another polygon clipping library that is GPL'd. If I
get some time, I'll try including it in OpenOfffice...

12 days to deliver my master's thesis and no advances...
