Marching Band: Today is the final contest. YEA! And I don't have to go! DOUBLE YEA! This is the contest that COUNTS. It is the first step to sweepstakes. It is very different from the other contests. No points for props. YEA! I think marching band should be MARCHING and BAND, not how much money you spend on props and how weird you can act on the field. Ah, for the good old days.

RE: Whoever replied: The big bands in my area are BA, Jenks, Union, Owasso. They almost need to be in a 7A rating instead of 6A. Many of the other bands consider them to be a "pro" team instead of a learning experience for ALL kids. Winning is more important to them then building adults from kids.

Work: Learning InstallShield. I am not impressed so far.

Missing Person Police have finally agreed that he has had a breakdown, and not just running away.

Concession Stand Only two more games to go. Just stocked 99 cases of Pepsi. They even brought along 3 people to help! Way to go Pepsi!

Advogato: How do I find someone else's diary entry that refers to me? I was going to reply (see above) but took too long and the entry is not in recent!

Printer: Installed the Epson driver, again!? Or did I only think I had installed the new one off their web site? The status program is happy. YEA! XP still sucks, so...

Linux: I cheated and removed the floppy so I would have a physical place for the hard drive. Tried an email to Compaq customer support so I can buy disk bracket for the old fasion mount the drive vertically below the disk cage. Their reply was call their 800 number as it was too complicated to resolve via email???

Cingulair:I lost my cell 6 months ago. My agent told me to check back in August for a renewal and free phone. So I did, and guess what? Cingulair has changed their upgrade policy, no free phones! Fine, I'll switch providers. Now, There is a nationwide change happening a that non-"local" cell numbers no longer being free to the caller!! All of the Baby Bells are dropping the capability for letting the cell companies pay for the out of area calls into a cell phone! So I may need a new number anyway.

Marching Band We placed 3rd! Yea, the changes worked. Our football team is winning games, that means bigger crowds, more work for me and my team, but bigger profits for the band.

POLL When you think of Oklahoma, What are your first thoughts?

  • Indians and Cowboys?
  • Dust Bowl?
  • Murrah Building?
  • Modern Cities with culture & techies?
Printer Fixed! The color ink cartriage was empty. Epson's status program installer says I do not have an epson installed. Then what am I printing on? A stone tablet? Cant' wait to get Suse Linux installed on the new computer.

Need linux so I can work on my projects again.

MISSING PERSON: A good friend of mine went missing in Tulsa. This appears to be a medical condition. If he was 8 years old the police would issue an Amber alert and go all out to find him. But if you are "too old" to be a child or "too young" to be a nursing home walkaway, you are not important to the system. I have seen this many times, it is wearing me down with the injustice of age discriminations. If you live in/around Tulsa - see my home page.

WAR: How many more die before the USA people understand we are at war? One not of our own choosing. 3,000 was not enough? Is a mushroom the only thing to get them off their bottoms and fight?

Band Good turnout at games. But at the first home Varsity game, the construction crew cut the main power feed at 1pm. School was closed. Power came on at 5:30. Tulsa Station KOTV was here for a special. We cooked 100 hot dogs at the visitor stand (seperate power) for them to give away. Talk about a stress filled day!

Now they broke the sewer and water lines. That just leaves the gas line to go. They also keep blocking access to the dumb waiter. Progess hurts. On the other hand, I WANT the new buildings. Auditorium, Science classrooms, Band room, choir room, etc. A 1925 building is not nice for the kids.

Kiwanis New portico on mini-golf course is "done". A roofer will do the shingles on Friday. We close for the season on Sunday. Just in time for the new president to take over. Still have to put in a new fence. Both of my employees quit early to take full time jobs. I wish them luck.

Computers: my printer (Epson) does not want to talk, just blink its little red light at me, so had to steal my old one back from my son (lexmark) just to get my reports done. XP is not helping. neither is Compaq.

LIFE

"Freedom cannot be negotiated. It is rarely given. It is usually won at great cost and sacrifice. Once lost... the price for regaining it will be ever higher. I come from a people who believed that the opposite of war was peace. We learned the hard way that the opposite of war is more often slavery.. and that strength... strength alone can suport freedom." -Captain Apollo, from Experiment in Terra by Glen A. Larson

HOME

Moving my computers from basement to 2nd floor. Wife's crafts from 2nd floor to basement. Praise God for the Hot Tub.

VOLUNTEER - Kiwanis

"Managing" a miniture golf course to pay for city fireworks.

VOLUNTEER - Marching Band

Getting ready to open the Football concensions stand to pay for band. (science and football are using most of the tax money) Music is just as important as football, music will last a lifetime, A football career is history after ?? some "young age".

Still trying to crack into my zip disk that I forgot the password. The drive is so slow for each try of my cracker program that exhaustive search is taking months and I am only up to 6 character tries.

Looks like progress on IEC at MatPLC a GPL PLC project with IEC as part of it. Maybe I will just help out there. A use this as a standalone W/GCC IEC compilier.

They are also want to use MODBUS, at which I have done a LOT of implementaions.

5 Days of virus - the people kind, not the computer kind. BLAA.

Found a paper on new RFC input format:

http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~hgs/papers/draft-schulzrinne- rfc-00.pdf

Looks like i need to check the mailing list cited.

Thinking about transforming all of the RFC's into XML (see rfc 2629). I like the feature of auto-transformation from XML into HTML, PS, PDF, RTF, TXT...

Did a little work on transformation via C program. Searched the WEB, could not find where someone else has done this wholesale. Some people have done their RFC orginally as XML. Using these as templates.

The RFC editor seems to hide the orginal source of the RFC's (nroff format)

Anyone with more ideas?
