Well I have been doing some research, and I have found that Adobe Acrobat encrypts its files almost exactly like M$ Excel/Word do.
Details of Adobes algorithm can be found here (PDF File) in section 5.18(page 62) and section 6.13 (page 124)
I will be contacting Adobe, and asking them if I can post the info on my website.
I just updated the Chicago roadmap. I listed some milestones and what I want to do with each milestone. I will add more stuff later.
I just updated the Chicago web site.
I added the following:
I will be adding a binary for Linux to the binary list soon.
It's official. I am now the maintainer of the xlhtml project. It's new homepage can be found at http://chicago.sf.net/xlhtml. I invite everyone to download the code and bang away on it.
I just updated the xlhtml web site. I added links to the batch converter script, and the XLS viewer. The batch converter script, takes all the xls files in a directory and converts them to HTML. The xls viewer is a gui frontend for xlhtml.
I just updated the Chicago web site. I changed some links and the structure a little bit. It should be easier to follow now.
I updated the Chicago Developer page over the weekend. I added some links to MS docs on the file Excel file format.
I just updated the Chicago project developer
web page. I added links to 3 projects (1 TCL 2 PHP)
that can write the Excel file format.
I also cleaned up the documentation list.
I will be adding links to more documentation in
a little bit.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
