What a week! The problem with the Cyclades Async Driver and the Dell
PE2400 has been solved,
and a new driver package (V_6.5.7) has been released today.

Also, a stable alpha-version of the Cyclades-PC300 Linux driver with Frame
Relay support has
been released internally for tests. The problems with the operation of multiple PC300 channels in the same
system
has been solved, and this should probably be the driver version that will be released for beta-tests with customers.

Cyctest/Linux V_2.0.0.0 has been released today too. It includes support to all Cyclades cards
(synchronous
and asynchronous), and its interface is much better now.

The Cyclades-PC300 Linux driver now
supports Frame Relay. It's not officially released yet, as I still have to do some heavy load tests. The Tx
performance on this driver is much improved, thanks to the sample code I got from Krzysztof Halasa (the generic
HDLC driver maintainer). However, operation of multiple PC300 channels in the same system still deserves some
attention and investigation.

Probably tomorrow I'll be able to go back to the investigation of the Dell PE2400 and the Cyclades
Async Driver.

I am currently debugging a very strange problem in a Dell PowerEdge 2400 system. It seems that the SCSI driver
(Adaptec) messes up the Cyclom-Y MMIO area when it's loaded. Oh, boy ...

I've also released a new version of the Cyclades Async Driver package today
(6.5.6b), which addresses a PCILib compilation problem with Red Hat 6.2 systems. The driver itself is still the
same as the one in the previous package.

Now, I gotta work on the Frame Relay support for the Cyclades-PC300 Linux driver and on the
PC300 support for Cyctest/Linux .

Today I created this account.

Today I also released V_3.0.0 of the Cyclades-PC300 Linux
driver, which among other things improves Tx performance and fixes chip bugs (PLX and SCA-II).

Also, I went to my first EBLUG meeting (it was their second). It's good to
be part of a LUG that's just starting, as you can contribute a lot.
