Mid-Afternoon. Hmm... Apple's UK site lists the ATi Radeon as a built-to-order option on the new Power Mac G4s; the US one doesn't. Also, the Cube's alt tag on the Apple Store UK says "P9 Family", referring to the product's code name, while the US one says "Mac2000 Family": is this more generic term or another codename? By contrast, both stores list the other models as "PowerBook Family", "iMac Family", etc.

Bought a FireWire case for my old hard drive... arrives tomorrow via Airborne. Mmm... new toys...

Afternoon. The spooler I've been working on is functionally complete--complete enough to Get The Job Done, at least. Unfortunately, getting the thing functional came at the cost of an ugly preference-parsing hack. I'll have to nerkle around with it to make it work in more diverse environments (read: outside the organization). Consequently, the source drop (if you can call it that), won't happen today. I'm sure everyone's itching to see my horrid, niche code, heh.

Mailing out some blanks for Phish shows today. At some point, I'll put a list of available shows up for all takers.

Morning. Nap gone horribly [right, wrong]: meant to sleep for an hour or so yesterday evening. Ended up being ~11 hours. I suppose it's better than my customary four, but I have plenty of stuff to do now...

Television I miss: Get Smart, Moonlighting, Murphy Brown, Max Headroom, TV Nation, Cupid.

What a goon I am. My sisters' 14th birthday is tomorrow, and I haven't gotten them anything yet. I'm looking for music, but I haven't a clue what they'd like. I remember getting my first CD around that age (Dylan), but I'm certain they wouldn't go for that.

Wednesday: Wonder how soon we'll see the [Macworld New York] freebie optical mice appear on eBay. Answer.
