Notes:
I am in my 3rd-year on my way to a Computer Science and Engineering Degree from UC Davis. I expect to get a Bachelors degree then stay an extra year and get a Masters. From there who knows?
I contribute to scoop. An Open Source weblog similar to slashdot written in mod_perl and running on apache with MySQL. It is the engine that runs kuro5hin.org and scoop.kuro5hin.org among others.
I wrote the polling code for it, and other than that I just fix random bugs that come along and add features here and there.

Well I got logAnalyzer-0.2.pl released last night. Well, not really released, how about halfway-finished :-) It parses apache access log files for POST requests and any ip that posts more than postlimit times across the logfile gets all of their POST operations logged to $ip.log.
I wrote this parser for Inoshiro to help him parse the k5 log files after the recent DoS attacks. I figure other people might want to use it too, so thats why I've posted an article on scoop.kuro5hin.org about it.
Its fun to write this kind of stuff. I'm having alot of
fun writing perl and configureing linux/*BSD servers. Hey
it
gave me a reason to buy the Perl Cookbook :-) I think I
might have to look for a job where I can write more open
source code. And spend more time coding instead of doing
tech support :-P
