There is an interesting discussion in the Mutt community about the inclusion of the header caching patch (see for example the thread from which this summary is extracted). A bunch of people went it in, but Thomas Roessler seems to be opposed to including it.
I personally would like to see it included, but more than the actual inclusion of the patch, I'm interested in seeing how this is going to be resolved. The resolution of such issues in open source projects has always been interesting to me.
This is my first diary entry. I intend to put here some thoughts about free software. We'll see if that happens or not.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
