Sitting here in Boston at the Gnome Summit. Listening to the Banshee talk and trying to get wireless to work right. My dwl-g122 acts wierd in ndiswrapper and locks up my laptop every now and again.

Sitting in the Airport waiting to depart to Boston for the Summit. I am excited to see everyone in one room. Wireless was a bit crazy here as it would not connect with wpa_supplicant being enabled. Seems that ndiswrapper also hates when you disable wps_supplicant after you plug the wifi in...oh well. Everything should work in boston no problem.

See everyone in Boston!

Yup...no Boston for me this year. I just can not afford it on my UPS Salary, so unless someone is willing to pay for my airfare...no go.

I am going to try and get a hold of Coaster's source this week so I can try to see if I can get a release out or weather to dump the project. Hopefully it is the former and not the latter.

The Ohio LinuxFest 2005 is now over. Let me tell you. I could not be more proud to be involved with such a team like the one we have. This year me met out goals and some. Total turnout was 726. I met some really kick ass people and probably drank more then I normally do. My normal is pretty bad. I don't buy food, I buy beer.

Plenty of pictures where taken and I hope everyone gets those up somewhere for me to laugh and make fun of. Awesome time at the bars the last two nights. Gotta love seeing those fine Columbus women in their nights best.

Only a few more days till the Ohio LinuxFest 2005! If you are still wanting to go, you better register now! Goto http://www.ohiolinux.org to pre-register for the event. This year is looking more and more like it will be the biggest event in the midwest...maybe even the east coast. Awesome!

I will be spending the rest of the week working on event material and preparing my Gnome presentation if we need it. I will be the only Gnome Foundation member there that I know of, so I will have to represent the best I can. No Gnome booth :(. Just don't have the resources to do it this year. If I can recruit some more Gnomers for next year, we are set.

Not sure if I am going to be able to make the trip to Boston this year like I had planned. Money has been tight and the car itself needs a bit of work if I am to make it in one piece. Unless I find some hidden funds somewhere or get a car I can trust, don't plan on my being at thye Summit this year.

Ohio LinuxFest 2005 is only 5 days away. Awesome!

Updated my rhythmbox cvs today. DAAP support is working. Other then a small pointer cast error in the daap code, things went pretty smooth. I can share and play shared music within rhythmbox. Now all we need is ipod support to include uploading and podcasting. I also have been looking into airtunes support the last week or so. There is a mono/.net project called JustePort that has limited capabilites that can be used to learn how to do the streaming in rhythmbox.

I now now that one of the first priorities is to update the old rhythmbox website to reflect the new development gaines and future direction of the project. NOt to mention, the site just needs an overhaul.
