This week is a long work week in China. We will work until next Tuesday. Then we will have a 7-day-long national holiday:) I made a small and clean JINI example. It also helps to make me understand the basic of JINI. I made a patch for dnd events between different windows for Evolution 1.4 branch and send to the list. Don't know whether it will be accepted. Those calendar guys seemed very busy or on a holiday. My last patch is still not reviewed.

Today I downloaded the evolution-groupwise from gnome cvs and read some of the codes. Yes, those Ximian guys are quick hands. Referring to the code, I modified our hydrogen TRUNK to use AC_DEFINE in configure.in instead of -D of INCLUDES in Makefile.am. Ximian developers are busying working on the Evolution 2.0 refactor which can be seen from the Evolution Blog. Our hydrogen will change accordingly. That might be quite a work.

The JINI architecture is still too complex, I think. You have to run a few servers so that a simple example can work:(

Today I spend some time reading NotZed's diary. It is pretty interesting. I will spend some time reading Jan Newmarch's Guide to JINI Technologies later.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
