Watched American Wedding, Down With Love and Bufallo Soldiers.

Spent a nice week-end, roast dinner, I even cooked a big fat chocolate sponge cake for my mate's birthday. Started preparing for the trip to the french wineyards next week.

Watched Jamon Jamon. Spanish isn't so complicated to understand, although the vocabulary was certainly limited in that film ;)

The Dark place was a cracker, with such quotes as "The episodes were usually running up to 8 minutes short, so we had to make use of a lot of slow-motion", and "If you're looking at the strings in a Punch and Judy show, you're a freak".

Finished off some nautilus-cd-burner fixes. Only a couple more things to fix to be clean.

Watched the classic Fargo (Just a funny looking guy), and listened to Franz Ferdinand (good pop stuff).

luis, removing myself from mailing-lists isn't really the way forward, is it? Adding a couple of hours to each day is the proper solution. And thanks gman for the support :)

Please don't invite me to the damn Orkut thing. I appreciate being invited, but this kind of stuff isn't for me.

More and more real work. I can't seem to keep up with GNOME these days. A hack here, a hack there, and I can't stay for long in front of the computer after a long day at work.

So I watched Runaway Jury with some good cheese and a glass (more like three actually) of wine. Dealing with lack of administrativia about the house is hell (That's what I'm telling you, the last of the 3 people listed on the coucil tax moved out a year ago).

Spent a very nice week-end with Danielle. Watched Love Actually (your good ol' Richard Curtis rom-com), and Pleasantville.

I merged in my experimental HAL for CD detection code and the nautilus-cd-burner cleanups, which finally removes the half-baked audio support and fixes DVD burning. Audio burning should come back in Rhythmbox and possibly a stand-alone application as well.

Update: watched a Life Less Ordinary. I nearly forgot that Danny Boyle is just that good.

For a couple of days, I've had the name of "Broomes Close" in my head. I don't have any ideas where it's coming from, it's not even something that exists close to here. I found a Brooms Close in North Yorkshire (in Bedale), and a Broom Close in Nottinghamshire. Maybe it's that passive thinking when I went up North. Bit weird anyway.

I received the CD and electronics stuff from thomasvs. It was apparently stuck in the mail for some reason. Superstar, Thomas, loving the CD.

Absolutely no time, plenty of films to watch, plenty of code to finish off, no time at all (managed to get the end of Hitchhiker's in the evening, still).

I think we're gonna make it.

Back from Manchester. Damn good clubs and bars, even managed to see a girl with a red Fedora (and, no, she didn't know), Justin Timberlake fans (who aren't so stupid after all, well), Man City fans ('nuff said), confusion (So you're Scottish, ken? -- No, just reading Irvine Welsh), the smallest pub bog in Manchester, the nicest dinner and breakfast mushrooms, the meanest quotes, and the most honest tourist information office (students) in the world.

Watched Shattered Glass (very interesting and good film), and S.W.A.T. (arf).

Watched Matchstick Men.

Alex reviewed my n-c-b patches. Looking very good. I managed to fix a bunch of bugs related to DVD burning. I need to wait until I finally receive more blank media to be able to test properly, but it seems like I can (finally) detect blank DVDs as their real type (ie. a blank DVD+R will be detected as such!). There were a bunch of bugs in the code that would make it fail to detect the proper type unless there was data on the disc.

Don't expect me to be of any use, I'm on holidays!

I managed to get my hair cut, book my hotel for the week-end, watch Elephant Man (I was always too scared, or not enough in the mood to watch it), watch a football match, go to the Post Office, and write this blog. Thit's neh bad fer a cat like ous, likes (and I'm also reading Porno).
