Never trust a software vendor who says "it'll be fixed soon after you buy the software, don't worry".
Currently annoyed with: Veribest, Viewlogic (nee Innoveda), Microsoft, Mentor Graphics, Hasbro, Origin Systems, RIAA, MPAA, US Congress, Microprose, Microsoft.
In other news, the trip from the US to Niagara Falls and other parts Southern Ontario went well.
For those considering a hard drive purchase, I still recommend Maxtor (even though that's the one that broke). The web-based returns process was nice. No need to talk to phone techs and try to convince them the drive's really broken, just fill out forms, and the new drive showed up 2 days later. Very nice.
At one point the partition table had partitions overlapped, so any time I fixed one partition, the other one broke, and vice versa. ARGH... Fixed it eventually, but that was wierd. I was really happy to have that BBC...
Nice. Will these companies ever figure out that this in-fighting is just hurting their customers, slowing us down, and indirectly reducing their own revenue base?
ARGH
Got hit by the "lifestages" worm. No effect. Ain't unix wonderful
