taxinomy and graphs

Last year, i wondered how i could store widgets together in order to have a quick access to them thru a fuzzy query. Here is a little text that describe the power of graphs to help managing content, such as sounds, or words (graphs of synonyms) or everything you want. I think i will use it for my artificial minded bot to generate correct analog sentences of written french. Comments are welcome on my e-mail.

about KDE

I'm a heavy user of the WindowMaker wm, and i like it because it is the only wm that handles X classes instead of application window. But since yesterday, i installed KDE 3.2 and began to... like it! Hey, KDE begins to be a good UI : DnD works correctly, Contextual menus are smart, and well.. everything is easier than Windo$ XP ! That's all folks..

Looking for an algorithm to compute a distance between two trees (graphs), i found a very cool search engine based on the bibTeX bibliography format to retrieve scientifical articles. Here is the url: CiteSeer.ist.psu.edu . It contains a huge amount of links to free downloadable articles.

But the sky heard my flame
And he gave me the wind
That i breathed as it came
And the child and the king
Gave me life and She came

about fuzzy sets

Yesterday, i came to the huge library of the Beaubourg Center (Paris) and read the Kaufmann books called introduction to fuzzy sets. It pointed out exacly where i had a lack of knowledge for my fuzzy search engine. Fuzzy sets are , like discrete sets, very simple to palp. Hence, i envisage to return next week-end to this library to learn the application of fuzzy sets to the ambiguous grammars.

Got a useless webcam at work that i can use as a mirror and verify i'm not too much bearded or to experiment my own stupidity. One should see me working and debugging between 9am and 7pm (France). I still don't know why i brougth it up although it allowed me to discover some HTML <meta> to refresh the screen without any javascript or java applet.

how to not fork ?

2 years ago, i sent a clean patch for a very well known program and the author sent me a brief "thanks.." but never applied the patch which was however interesting for the program. I recently contacted him to ask if i could fork his program and apply my patch deliberately. He replied me that he would put my patch on his ftp site (but still not apply it). That is the first time i encounter this kind of situation...
