The most interesting thing about creating a gnu/linux VPN solution, is that our clients want to use thier Win Networks... so working out some of the Windows quirks like WINS, proves interesting work.

Has anyone heard of anything the Open Source Initiative has done lately? Is it time for them to pass on the Organization to a group of people who will be active, update the website, and help persuade companies to use an Open Source business model.

The Inactivities of the OSI, has made me really hate the term OPEN Source... so I'll stick with FREE Software...

Had an article published in LinuxMonth today... it's about the GPL and MPL. Check it out and tell me what you think. Also LinuxLock now has an rss page.

Went to school and rocked a test

Went to work and got a nice pay check

Check the web and see my article

Ran into an old friend

Today was a good day

Spent the last 3 months developing a reliable VPN solution (based on Caldera Linux and PoPToP), have a few in production working wonderfully. Tommorrow is the sales conference for the boxes... both exciting and tiring.

I'm working for BroadConnect now, but we are (currently) owned by DRJ Computing, the consulting company I used to work for. I got asked to help them out today.. just had to drop a keyboard off to one of their clients.. I was asked, could you do this favor and drop off this keyboard, I promise it has nothing to do with the Windows operating system ... :-)

Man I love what ghod is doing with LinuxLock... keep on the look out for LinuxLock Version 2, the site is so much nicer to look at.. thank ghod

Started to delve into the world of IPSEC... just lovely...

So tired... worked all day, but at least I work for myself :-) ... kinda fun, working when you know it's for yourself. Spent the whole day, making our systems RPM based... every file on the system can be traced back to an rpm ... wierd

I officially became a Board Member of BroadConnect Inc, a company that makes GNU/Linux VPN Solutions. The first product is the BroadRunner, a Windows to GNU/Linux VPN, it allows windows clients to VPN through a GNU/Linux firewall, and browse there MS WindowsNT networks...

I was asked to write an article for LinuxMonth.Com, and it is going to be published on Monday... I was asked to write about Open Source licenses, so I wrote about the GPL, and MPL.

It's always really really nerve racking to me, to publish an article. There is always somone out there that knows more than you, and I often wonder if something I wrote was incorrect... well I'm sure if something is wrong, I will get lots of email.

With "Open Source" "Free Software" and licensing, always being contested, it should be interesting to see what people have to say to me... I really hope i get at least one of them "Nice article" emails

Yesterday at a company meeting, The President of the Company told me he was very happy with the technical end of our business, that felt good, cause I am responsible for that end, as newly appointed CTO :-)

Going out to vote.... it sucks that this system doesn't work on Popular Vote.. the electoral concept is a bunch of crap... I'm voting for Nader, not because I like his views, but because I think it is absolutely insane that we only have 2 parties... 2 people, representing one country... it's a big country... Well to bad Linus wasn't running.... Guess he couldn't run anyway cause he wasn't born here... Who's the next best Linux Evangelist to be the US President?
