I've hacked around the binutils issue by reverting to a base code segment address of 0x1000 instead of 0x0. This will probably break other things horribly, but I'll get the package out first and fixed second. Once the last of the packaging dramas are out of the way (how many different methods of specifying paths can we find today :/), it's off to cleaning up tripwire. Who knows, maybe I can get bug free by the time Debian releases woody.
Bah! Time to go and learn way more than I want to about COFF :/
The only thing wrong, to date is that 'as' gets the .text and .data symbols screwed up somehow and 'ld' chokes on this during the 'gcc' build. Ah well, something to poke at while I watch client copies in my real job.

Must seriously sit down with Archive::Tar too. Andreas is having problems with it in CPAN.pm and the Win32 folks still don't have something they can use. Oh well.
