Today is saturday. Wow. I survived to the weekend. hrmm..

It's kinda boring today. I was going to clean my room and organize a bunch of things, but my gf being asleep all day has made that goal impossible sofar. I tested the 80min CDR blanks I got from Zones.com earlier in the week. Initially i had a failure but the second one burnt nicely. I attributed the failure to random error. For less than $30 i got this 50 cdr spindle. Quite nice.

I'm going to see Run Lola Run tonight at LSC. Good movie, I'm looking forward to seeing it again tonight.

Today feels like it's going to be a productive day.

Sofar, I've done my taxes, backed up my homedir, and installed the new powersupply in Lite. Hopefully it'll stop crashing randomly now.

Later today I will do even more I think, today seems like it will be a good day.

Yet another unproductive day. I spent much of the day pondering a bunch of neat things, but I have since forgotten what they were.

I should finally set out a block of time and actually do my taxes finally. That's been needing to be done for weeks.

woah.. where'd saturday and sunday go!?

Spent much of the day in a half awake, but what else is new. I'm pretty sure I passed a test this morning, atleast I remember making it to the test, so that's atleast half the battle I suppose.

I became slightly bored this afternoon and wrote a tiny webserver as an exercise, it works quite well actually.

I've also been playing this evening with GnuPG. I decided my 1024bit key wasn't really good enough, so I revoked it. I've been playing with larger keys and have found that 4096bit keys are SLOW. It took 37 minutes to generate a keypair on a p2-233 and took roughly 20 seconds to send an encrypted email to myself. I'm generating somewhat smaller keys now. I'll probably endup settling on a 2048 bit key, but 3072 might be speedy enough for my taste.

Finally got around to creating an Advogato account. Hopefully this will manage to be a kick to myself to get some real hacking done on New Athena and other projects I have.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
