I was very busy in the last two months!

On [4-5].December.2004, I went to a different Free Software event called OpenBeach; it happened in Florianópolis, the main city in Santa Catarina, a South Brazilian State

We had a great weekend, talk a lot about free software and saw some very good friends. You can check some pictures from the event here .

I also would like to say thank you to tiagovaz that certified me as Apprentice.

During this period I worked a little bit with translations/localizations and give some attention to the Debian User Group that I'm involved.

Still alive...

I'm very busy during the last three weeks, we had two Free Software events extremely close, Conisli was [05-06].nov.2004 and Latinoware was [08-12].nov.2004. I was in charge to organize and take care of Debian Booths (specially Brasilian Debian User Group) in both events.

I would like to thank everybody that helps me to take care, "advocate" Debian, explain a little bit about our philosophy and ideas, how our project is organized and maintained. We also sold some nice T-Shirts and our Debian-BR-CDD (Custom Debian Distribution) CDs.

I'm writing some papers about the Booths and try to add it in Debian Events. During this period I'm facing a great e-mail problem, I don't have a notebook, during the events all mail management was done in WebMail interfaces... that's ok!! I will take some time to "update" my mails (read and answer), some tasks are a little bit delayed.

This week I translate a few things to Debian Women Project on their wiki. I would like to thanks rillian, he certified me as Apprentice. :-)

Unfortunately I was unable to find good pictures to post here! :o( Have to try again!

Advogato is really interesting. I did my first post a few days ago and I was wondering how long will take until somebody certified me. Well... for my suprise fxn was the first :-) There are nice people in this World. I would like to "thanks" (also) surripui, he also certified me.

It is a very busy week!! Today I play PaintBall, it is a very good way to reduce stress. :-) After that, put mails in order. I have to find time to upgrade my Debian Woody to Debian Sarge and re-organize my Partitions' Strategy, because I'm without space...

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda6 4.0G 3.6G 416M 90% /
proc 0 0 0 - /proc
devpts 0 0 0 - /dev/pts
/dev/hda2 510M 15M 469M 3% /boot
/dev/hda5 5.0G 4.9G 157M 97% /home

Besides that, I'm working with documentation for new Free Software Projects related with our Debian User Group. As I said before, it is a busy week, I'm preparing for two Free Software Events in the next days, specially because both of them have a Debian "Booth". Considering this, lots of things stay "un-done", so... have to fight for more time!

Hello World! :o)

First post, first time using blogs! Well, in our lifes there is always (almost always) a first time. I found Advogato a long time ago but never "subscribed" myself. Today I was talking with a great friend (aristeu), and asked him about Advogato... he told me to register, as I was already interested I decided to try it out... why not? :-)

Today I did a few translations for Debian Women Project, anja is finnishing the setup of a new wiki and I'm "feeding" it with Portuguese Bra(s|z)ilian (pt_BR).

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
