Finally (well, almost, some things left to be done) made it after 6 months work (not working only on that feature of course): broke the OOoCalc 32000 rows limit and increased to 64k rows, relatively easy to extend further in later releases. See the tracking issue for details.

Not sure if this is going to be something useful, but I'll try to (re)join that diary thingy, now commonly known as blogging..

Sometimes it really pays to rewrite some code though generally it's not a good idea to rewrite too much at one time. It's satisfying if the new code is more structured, more easily extensible, supports more features, is faster and needs less memory. I like that.

I still wonder how a big project like OOo can be developed by just 5 people.. that's great ;-)

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
