Notes:
I've been programming since about 1984. Most recently I
was a
senior software engineer at Sandvine Inc.. Some of
my other past jobs include senior software
engineer at BorderWare
Technolgies, whose firewall product is built
on FreeBSD, and as VP of software at Crosswinds which
uses FreeBSD, PHP, and other other Open Source
software. After leaving Crosswinds (they've gone
way downhill) in February 2001 I did
consulting work until joining Sandvine.
Although I consider myself a very good programmer and software designer I just haven't been able to find the time to contribute to the Open Source community as much as I've wanted too. That's why I've only rated myself as an apprentice. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute more in the future.
I've been a FreeBSD user since shortly after the group was formed. My contributions have been limited to filing a few PRs, submitting a few ports, and the occasional posting to the mailing lists.
I've also sent patches to a few other Open Source projects, including Ethereal, PostgreSQL, VICE, and IFM.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
