I move tomorrow! Its going to be lots of fun on shared dialup until the DSL is installed, but I figure we can spend all our free time playing freeciv and/or other neato LAN games until then, not to mention actually moving stuff.

And to top it all off, UPS has gone braindead. First they misroute my package, now its out for delivery in Sparks, NV. As odd as it sounds, I don't live in Sparks, NV.

Doobeedoo. So apparently they love me at work. Not a bad position to be in, I suppose.

My new python bindings for nVidia's Cg runtime seem to work well enough, and I'm loosely toying with writing a not-quite-so-proprietary clone of CgLabs. I love that nVidia makes linux versions of their stuff, but its hard for it to be useful when one needs expensive, windows-only, proprietary tools to create models or textures.

And thus ends my short little rant.

It seems I've finally come out of my few days of unproductiveness. I managed to write my first real set of vertex/fragment programs, implementing Gooch shading (if you haven't heard of it, its a nifty shading method devised by Amy & Bruce Gooch over at the university of Utah which is more ideal for technical visualization than standard shading), so I'm happy. Now time to swig the cg runtime ;)

So life is a little strange right now. Its completely dead at work, due to 6 people deciding on simultaneous vacations.

Had a nice evening with some friends, made a pizza and rented a couple peter sellers movies. The genius of that man will never cease to amaze me.

And somehow, the last two hours seem to have completely disappeared. I have no clue where they went. Amazingly enough, it seems like the interweb played a small part in their mysterious disappearance.

Well, after a little prodding from timriker, I finally created an account here. We'll see how this diary widget works out.
