Got my copy of Diablo 2 yesterday. Not only that, I also recieved "The art of Programming", three books by Donald Knuth. Let's just say that there will not be much coding this weekend...

Been coding Java both for work and for fun today. My pet project is coming along slow and steady. The first component, Cool Closet, will be released as soon as it reaches feature-completion and zarro boogs ( == close-to-zero bugs, you can never reach zero bugs). All other components will be released as one application, since there is very little practical use in separating them.

If any of the original MFC developers sees this note: a nice, big, warm "fuck you" for creating such a piece of crap. After working with high-quality GUI classes in both Borland C++ Builder and Swing (Java), seeing this hairy beast appear is nothing less than repulsive and/or disgusting.

Been doing some more Java coding. The half-secret project I am planning is coming along just fine. Funny thing - Java applications are no slower than usual applications, it's just the startup time that separates them.

After some time of non-coding, I have started working on Tebax again. It is now available in both swedish and english, thanks to a nifty feature found in C++ Builder 5. After polishing that and making some documentation other than the source code, a new version could probably be released. This would be the first english version.

My brother is here again. Say no more.

First day at work today. As you might expect, not very much actual work was done. The flash cold that I have recieved does not help me to think clearly either. Anyhow, I feel much better now.

Recieved a copy Borland C++ Builder 5 Enterprise today. This thing has got a boatload of both useful and useless components. It gave me one of the most clean crashes that I have ever seen - it simply disappeared without a trace or an error.

This week has been and will continue to be consisting of two things: beer and more beer. You might figure out pretty easy how much productive work I am going to accomplish now...

Did almost nothing productive this weekend. Got a visit from my brother who immediately occupied my computer, since I have a 10Mbit connection in my home and he is stuck with a 56Kbit modem. Huge party on saturday where just about everyone who lives in the neighbourhood gathered together and got really drunk. Sunday is hangover day. Horray.

Did some work on Cool Closet for a long time - thanks to Win2K just about all coding has been set to zero. It now locates stuff the way I want it, which is a definitive progress. There is even a project for it! More to come on this later, though...

Finally back in OS/2, complete with the new and buttkicking OS/2 Warp Server. Speed...

Posted my much better looking homepage today after some trouble. This is an older version, since I still can't boot to OS/2. As soon as we are finished with Windows 2000, that piece of shit OS is never to be seen on my computer again. Never.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
