I am VERY unhappy with my worthless university, SUNY @ Buffalo. I have now had papers accepted at three conferences and I have been unable to participate because they do not support thier studentds research. I was offered $100 for all of these conferences, not for each - for ALL of them, and that was it; making it completely impossible to even travel to these events, much less register for them. Its cost me alot of valuable opportunities to meet people both in the industry, and involved in research. I am extremely frustrated right now. I spent alot of time and effort on that and right now, it all seems like its been for nothing. You'd think the school, like others, would encourage thier grads to publish thier work and build the reputation of the school.
