Notes: I've been in the e-mail business for the last 15 years. I've written SMTP, POP and IMAP, including MIME64 for the HP 3000, a defunct mainframe environment, and written a free document in the last year entitled "Webifying your Hp3000" that was enclosed on a freeware tape sent by HP's users group organization to all HP 3000 users. It's also posted on the 3kworld website and was downloaded 60 times last week. In the very short near time I'll be posting the smtp and mime64 code as freeware, on behalf of the HP 3000 community. I do hope this is enough to get certified as an apprentice, for I intend to deploy myself extensively on linux now and would like to begin my open source career. I'm in the middle of porting a tcp-ip software port analyzer that I wrote for NT over to linux and feel that this would make an excellent open source contribution when it's complete. This is the first step I've take toward my open source career and am very excited. Luke graciously referred me over and if this enough to get on board then I'll find someother way to prostrate myself before the open source god and try again! good will to all. Chris
