Week In Review 2011W04

This week the people of Egypt got fed up. Interesting facts, Obama’s VP Biden says Mubarak isn’t a ditactor, the same person which said Assange is a dangerous cyber terrorist. This is also about the same Mubarak which ruled Egypt for over 20 years in a state of siege, torturing people, and at first sign of trouble shut off the country from the world. Coincidently, Lieberman wants an Internet kill in the USA, probably just in case civil unrest rises up in the homeland. This is also the same week OpenLeaks goes live.

After last week’s horseplay with people’s phone numbers and addresses, Zuck decided only Facebook Credits are allowed on Facebook which is bound to annoy people like Zinga and people’s faces can be used as endorsements in ads which is bound to annoy everyone. So splendid news!

Nokia is still going down. No news there. LG hasn’t made a profitable jump to Android yet. And while MS cashcow Windows is going down Xbox is going up probably boosted by Kinect.

Obama is getting some RIAA boys spots in high places. And Warner Music finds that’s not a lot of music pirates. And while we’re on the subject Google finds the problem with censoring innocent stuff like “bittorrent” or “how to tor” is people actually expect them to censor stuff like “how to kidnap a child” or “how to build a bomb”. And funny, while Sony gets a restraining order against GeoHotNorway says Sony removing functionality is not nice.
