Google decided to own the week by launching the Google eBooks store which is has some kind of Adobe DRM which doesn’t work with the Kindle and announcing the Cr-48 Chrome OS laptop full of Chrome and cloud goodness. Not to be outdone Amazon launched Kindle Web.

Assange went on custody in Britain which is smart given he’s a subject of the Queen. Meanwhile, the USA is hosting the World Press Freedom Day 2011 and The Washington Post says ‘You’re Either With Us, or You’re With WikiLeaks’, the same WP that ran a oped asking why WikiLeaks didn’t go after North Korea. And after last week’s shenanigans with wikileaks.org.pt www.uiquiliques.org.pt went live.
