Captains Log - Stardate, 19th Jan 2002, 22:45 Eastern Time (Canada/USA)

hiho hiho - back from work - just finished a series of 4 races - finished 3, crahsed out of one scored a 159, 158 & 151 - so what does that mean??? well, i need a sub-140 to qualify for the worlds next year so the quest continues. currently in ontario, canada and tomorrow we're doing the 10 hour drive back to new hampshire, usa for some super-g and downhill training followed by some more races.....

wonder whats happening at work - wonder how all the gnomeing is going on..... its a pain in the arse cause i am doing something i love but i miss the other stuff i used to do - logging on, irc, gnomeing - ah well beggars cant be choosers and i'd sure as hell choose skiing in the usa anyday!

suppose i should check out gnome.org or maybe mail someone back at sun - see how things are going. mmmmm, yea maybe but to be honest i am shattered - what with a 6:45am start every morning as well as a full days training (+ gym work) and ski prearation - it really takes it out of you!!!!! I think I'll go to bed..

Whaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy...heres a big wassssssssssss'up from the snowy slopes of Canada - into me second week of the USA experience and we're at races in Canada - superb!

Sitting here wondering what the story is with the ould gnome so suppose i should head off and check out the news.... kind of these strange people to let me use their compter!!! Hope everything is going ok for everyone and things bang-on.

Well I just gotta go get suited up for a morning of the white stuff so adios for now....

So today is the last working day (until march) - hehe - cool. Can't wait to hit the slopes - got a race in NY stae 2 days after arriving and I can't wait. That said its gonna be kinda strange not logging on everyday - reckon there might be some withdrawal symptoms..... ouch, never thought I'd say stuff like that.

Suppose I'd better make sure to get online at least once a week to update everyone with the fun, frolics, ups and downs as well as the more serious side, progress -

later s

fuck, fuck, fuck just found out there aint gonna be no laptop from work

looks like i might need to buy one

AAAAAARARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

ffffrrrrrreeeezzzzzzzinnnngnggggg......

Sitting here, back after the chrimbo break and its f**king freezing. Did someone forget to pay the heating bill??? More cost cutting...? Who knows - who cares - its still freezing.

Didnt get up to much over xmas or new year. Had a pretty quiet time and drank a grand total of 7.5 pints. So thats a grand total of 11.5 pints and 4 shorts for the year of 2001. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Aw f**k it, who cares- in fact who'll ever read this rubbish!!

So only 2 days work left before heading off to the US - 2 months of bliss....BUT.... I have to say I am a bit concerned at the idea of heading off with no contact to work/gnome/community for 2 months (work wont give me a laptop) - suppose I'll just have to make a special effort to get to an internet cafe while I'm over there.....

So looking around I can see that there are f**k all people in today - ah well sure they deserve the break.... hehe, just realise i am using the "F" word a lot now - too many ganster movies on TV.

So anyway - off I go to the states - skiing all day and broke for the next year - will I ever buy that house with the missus? Who knows but I think its another (yes another) 12 months down the line.... Bu like I say F**K IT - I WILL have a blast in New Hampshire and will (I hope) qualify for the Worlds...... and then who knows maybe well try the Olympics if me body aint falling apart by then....

Hehe, crazy, crazy, crazy..... but then there aint nothing better than carving up the white stuff.....

testing nautilus - not much happening there. no bugs being fixed - suppose everyone is focused on getting 2.0 shipshape asap. suppose that gives me a little time to pick up some php - not to mention counting the days - only 18 (7 working) days left to the off - and america, snowy white stuff and carving it up on those big white trails here I f***ing come!!!!

oh joy - only 11 working days left between now and 16th March - looking forward to hitting that soft, cold white stuff (snow for all you scary people)...., mmmmm wonder if i could score a laptop from work so I can keep i contact???

hmmm, first ever entry and what to say??? working on gnome is pretty good fun but roll on Jan 5th when its up, up and away to the USofA for 2.5 months of bliss...... not long to go now!
