Another year and a half, another post... Finished up the Ph.D. exams last year. My study group made some decent notes on the Binghamton University qualifying exams. Still trying to find a topic and finish up collecting data on a parallelized xml parsers...

Wow. Another year, another post. Gone from Brandeis, back at Binghamton. I'm working on a lot of one-off projects in Grid Computing (binary xml, gridftp DDoS resilience, high performance data transfer in componentware) right now. If anything takes off, I'll post about it...

Again, it's been a long time since I posted. In the mean time, jscheme4eclipse has been started and worked up to a reasonably useful state. Extremities is what I'm on to now, and I'm very excited. I'm finally able to combine my research work with my opensource work.

It's been a long time since I posted, but tchambery and myself, together with a couple other people have been working on zClipse, writing plugins for Eclipse. In particular, we have Insectivore, CompleteClipse, SourceControl, and zMail in the works.

I have been working on a new version of Jacob, called Esau. It's implemented on JBoss and MySQL, though the intention is that it will work on any J2EE server (at some point).

The idea is that Esau will continue to evolve as the community that uses it evolves.

I built a little discussion board with my friend tchambery a while back, and now I'm working on a group calendar tool to go along with it.
