Been busy with the new job and school, and planning for stuff for the wedding in September. Built .debs of the new freeamp and musicbrainz releases today. Orphaned off most of my packages except for freeamp and gkrellm, as I don't use most of the others. Hard to believe it's been almost 4 months since my last diary entry. Time flies when you're busy.
Got into work at 5AM today, so I can leave at a decent hour. Changing jobs then not having any leave right before the holidays blows. Oh well. At least it's quiet...and I've been semi-productive.

I'm glad some people are having my share of partying :)
On a side note, we got a cable modem installed on Wednesday. It's sooooo much nicer than dialup...
Last day of work at Winstar. Cleaning out the desk and wrapping up the loose ends. I'll miss my coworkers greatly... must endeavor to keep in touch.
I voted. Annoyed that my voting station didn't give out "I voted" stickers. Bastards. My first time voting (I was 17 1/2 in 96) and I don't even get the damn sticker. :-)
KDE2 is nice.
Last week for this job is next week. Fun.
explodingdog kicks ass.
aaronl: When I used to trick-or-treat, what determined us going to houses or not was if they had some sort of halloween-looking stuff out in front - pumpkin, ghosts, cobwebs, whatever. We generally knew who did not celebrate halloween and did not 'threaten' people to give us candy. Certainly things may be different where you are, but there's more to halloween than a bunch of kids going around demanding candy... it's fun to just let loose, use your imagination, and relax every now and then. If you don't want people coming to your door, make it plain to the parents of said children that you do not celebrate halloween and wish to be left alone...or put a sign on your door saying 'No candy, go elsewhere' or whatnot. If you're in any kind of a decent neighborhood, they should respect your wishes.
Gave my two weeks notice to Winstar today. It sucks
to have to leave such a great set of coworkers...but the
department they were moving me to just wasn't what I wanted.
Now I have to give back all the toys I've had "signed out"
for the past year...ah well.
November 10th will be my last day. On November 13th,
I begin work as a Unix Admin and programmer for
Mitretek. Should be
fun.
Got a job offer from a company I interviewed with last
Monday. Should get the offer letter tomorrow (They are
FedEx'ing it overnight). Should be good <tm>.
Details to follow.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
