I haven't been able to spend much time on the net lately, or get any programming done.

I started working full time on monday for Label Art. I'm a "press assistant" so that pretty much means I'm a gofer for press operators. Its a completely physical job so I have a lot of time to think but not the energy after work to do much else except read email and browse a few web pages. The best thing about this is I'll actually have some money to spend on computer hardware and Christmas presents :)

I was working on a script to grab diary entries from members on the Worldforge project page and I noticed that this program might be useful for other projects! So I quickly added a GPL header to it and now I'm offering it to the advogato community.

I really should start double checking stuff before I hit 'submit', my usually handle is billyjoeray and as you can see, I'm signed up on advogato as billyjoeray(three L's). I wonder if there is any way the advogato gods could change it over....

I guess the sign that my life is turning around for the better is that I've been extreemly busy these last few days with computer related things. Rather than normally having nothing to do but sit here and stare at web sites.

First off I just bought my first O'Reilly books, got HTML & XHTML & The Definitive Guide in the mail and just ordered Programming Perl.

The same day, I got a 30GB hard drive (was a late birthday present (my previous drive was 3GB)). After a lot of hasle getting it work in Linux (mostly because of my stupidity), I've got mondo space now plus I was able to give the other hard drive to my father and now he has linux!.

Now that I have all this space I can go back to helping testing some really cool programs (Crystal Space Mojo Nation Worldforge).

*pulls out the old cvs and starts checkin' out

Hi, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Adam and I'm not a very good programmer, but I do try :)

I've done a bit of beta testing for projects like Crystal Space, Pan, Mojo Nation, Worldforge and some other smaller projects.

Currently I'm spending alot of time working on my web page learning php and also always hacking away at some little perl and python programs I wrote.

I consider myself apprentic level but I'm going to wait for people to notice me and certify me instead of asking people do it (even though I know a few people who would :))

Welp, time to go watch West Wing....
