It should be back in order now :-)
I did what I planned to do for a long time : rewrite my Book database from C to Python. You can find the results here. The database is still a bit slow as the Python script is stand-alone (ie not using any mod_python) and is not pre-compiled (I execute directly the .py, not a small .py that would import the big .pyc files).
BTW, I am using Mozilla 0.6 for two weeks now, and it crashed less often than Netscape 4.x (but well, the UI is still slow).
And, of course, Merry Christmas to everybody :-)
So see you in about two weeks when I will have finished it for more hacking news :-)

And I am currently playing Monkey Island 3 on Wine before taking on the 4th :-)
A part from that, packed my stuff for my trip tomorrow :-)
And it's not the next two weeks in Chicago and the two following ones in the Caribbeans that will help things :-) Hopefully I will have more time for hacking when I come back in december.
A part from that, broke completely the Apache install on my server by trying to install Apache_SSL (still trying to find out what's wrong) and bought an iPAQ.
As I will be again in Milan next week (any Advogato readers there who wants to drink some beers with a lonely business traveller who cannot speak a work of Italian can send me some mail :-) ), I finished my XVideo patch this afternoon (well, the weather was bad too, so it helped a bit).
FOAF updates: Trust rankings are now exported, making the data available to other users and websites. An external FOAF URI has been added, allowing users to link to an additional FOAF file.
Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
