Re: hjclub

I have downgraded hjclub's certification from me to observer. Not sure if this is enough to resolve the spam problem?

OK, yet another language.

Yes, why not!

Take a look at Dao, with version 1.1 just released!

A very powerful language derserving more widespread use.

An interesting language not famous but can it be the true language that people have been looking for, as an alternative to Python and Perl?

Dao

GObject considered harmful?

While the GObject system gives C programmers a powerful object model to build upon, C programs using the GObject has significant overhead, comparable to the virutal machines of languages like Java. So one may wonder if writing in C using GObject is really worth it, given the performance overhead and the manual labor needed (more than, say, C++ or Java) on the programmer's part for the boilerplate code?

Are there ways to dynamically optimize the GObject system at run time to reduce signal emission overhead?

How can people rate hjclub who posted how to break through the so-called "the great (Internet) wall" of the Chinese mainland as spam? He/she is doing a great service to the users of the Internet, and many people may end up helping the censors by making this useful information off the net...

There have been indications that Chinese inputs are not properly processed by Advogato. Test here (input via SCIM on Fedora 5, Firefox 1.5 with UTF8 encoding)

The diary cannot be displayed if it contains Chinese

Seems UTF8 is correctly supported by Advogato at this time

After looking at the diaries of xerox, I can verify that the contents were legitimate and "computing machine" (or "computer" in English) related. It is not a spam account.

I wonder is there a list of all GPLed kernels working on the x86 (not the BSD ones)?
