i had an idea for a filk while my sister and her boyfriend were visiting for christmas. when i asked sis's fella if he wanted anything for his coffee, he said, 'no thanks, i'll just drink it black.' so i sang out loud, spontaneously, to the tune of 'paint it black' by the rolling stones, 'i do not want that cream i want to drink it black'. one possible couplet off the top of my head would be something like, 'don't want vanilla, irish cream, or hazelnut / don't put that cinnamon or mocha in my cup (i wanna drink it black! drink it black!)'
