Tried to configure apache HTTPS today. Was a bit of pain. The problem was with the certificates being stored in conf/ssl.crt. My customized certificate was overwritten as I mistakenly did a make in the same dir reading some article on the web. It used to overwrite the thing with a default dummy certificate. Clients hated it :)

Long time that I am here. Well, lots and lots has changed. I have switched jobs. Am now working for Kernel Solutions Pvt Ltd, a baby startup in storage located at Pune, India. The job is pretty exciting. Your thinking power improves. You are made to think and take decisions. More challenging and life-consuming than working in big companies ... just something that I wanted to experience. In continuance with my earlier studies, its time for me to get down to something substantial. Want to read up SMP/NUMA even thought I am child in it now.

Just wanted to scribble down something as my first diary entry. Well, am getting to learn the Virtual File System in linux along with some file system concepts. Am also going through some ext2 code from 2.4.19.

Here are soom cool links for the same:

1) http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Filesystems-HOWTO.html
2) http://nscp.upenn.edu/aix4.3html/aixprggd/kernextc/virtual_fsys_over.htm

Will be going through the memory management subsystem ... from the top. Will post new links as and when I find them.
