Went to Montreal on the weekend for some retail-oriented recovery with friends from work. Bought some boots and a bit of other miscellany. Mmmm, boots.
Met up with a friend from Usenet/IRC/etc for dinner then back to his place for "Timtam slams" (a strange ritual involving sucking port through chocolatey things). Sat around on the couch talking about random stuff until way too early in the morning.
In the morning I wanted to explore Montreal a bit, but nothing was open until noon, so I had some breakfast on St Denis then caught a bus back to Ottawa. Spent the afternoon napping and the evening watching television and avoiding doing the dishes.
Today was my day of open-source-community-foo for e-smith. Various places want me to go talk at their LUGs and stuff, and I'm trying to arrange a bunch of e-smith CDs for an upcoming installfest in Ottawa. And someone who's been working on Horde/IMP approached us saying they wanted to use our (GFDL'd) IMP docco from the e-smith manual as a general IMP manual.
At 4:30pm a call went out by email for all the e-smith staff to gather in the lunch/pingpong room for beer and munchies and stuff, to (slightly belatedly) celebrate the release of e-smith 4.1. Then we all went home early. Yay. I stopped into one of the chinese groceries on Somerset then bussed home to wash the dishes, but instead I'm sitting online writing this.
