proxy
Getting back to my earlier post, a proxy for X clients would seem to be useful to a few people. Emphasis "few". But enough for me to consider it worthwhile (mainly because I'd like to see it created).midtermsSomeone brought up the idea of VNC. While overall it's a nice idea, I was hoping to find something that would work on a per-client basis, so I could detach my XChat session while leaving XMMS connected. (And no, I'm not going to start a new VNC session for every client.)
My problem is, I know nothing about raw X coding. I'll scrounge around for a good tutorial, and get started.
Got my Spanish midterm back; I made a 91, which is a B. I made lots of stupid mistakes, mostly either gender/number agreement or usage/lack of articles.independencePlayed my piano midterm today, too. I think I did well... at least I hit the right notes in the right order.
I'm probably going to Epcot tomorrow, for Independence Day. ("Probably" meaning "If the park isn't packed full by the time I arrive".) I already love their fireworks show (Illuminations: Reflections of Earth)... that, plus a grand finale? w00t!I need to stop by a convenience store (or Wal-mart) sometime tomorrow to get some soda for the trip:
20-oz bottle of Coke in Disney parks: $2.50
20-oz bottle of Coke at local convenience store: $1.00 +/- .20
2 liter bottle of Coke at local convenience store: $1.25 +/- .25
2 liter bottle of generic soda at Wal-mart: $.58Considering that a 2-liter bottle is approximately equal to 3 20-oz bottles, I would save about $2.30 per bottle. Even if I pay extra for a cold 2-liter of a name brand, it's still a savings of $2.00 a bottle. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
Also on the cost-saving end, if you go to MouseWorld anytime soon, buy your cameras and film off property. A disposable camera costs about $7 at Wal-mart. A similar camera in the gift shop costs $18. No kidding.
o/~ Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby... o/~
