PrBoom is going slow. I ordered a book on Cocoa programming, I hope to re-write the code using OS X's free XCode program. My webmonkey has the sites done for SF and they will be done in PHP I just need to set up a MySQL DB for the projects and for him. *sigh* so much to do.

Well, I am slowly learning more about how to code the PrBoom port to mac. I am using XTools now. I hope to buy a book soon, so if you want to donate a carbon and xtools programming book, I would greatly appriciate it, I will make sure 5 percent of your proceeds go to a cause of your choice.

HA! I got the docs writen for MacPrBoom. Just rough copies. Won't start any coding till after Christmas. But I think I will have some working stuff by January 1st, 2004. Patience fellow grasshoppers.

Well, I got the email from the project admins of PrBoom, that I can try for a port to MacOS Panther. More news soon.

Well, I am in the painstaking process of trying to port PrBooM to Panther. I am 65-77% sure I can come up with something that works by the beginning of January. I should learn SDL programming, but I don't think the authors are using that. Also, two key factors in development motivation are as follows:

  • How many people actually want to see a carbon port?

    AND

  • Is there a carbon port in existance?

I will work on it as I get days off from work. I work 8 - 18 hours a week at work, and my job doesn't mind working on code outside of work, but they are soon going to pass a new rule and I may have to sign something, if worse comes to worse and you all want to see a carbon port, I can and will quit my job.

I know I know, "DAMN STARVING PROGRAMMERS!" :-D

  • Not much to report. Playing some Unreal Tournamanet 2003 and learning to make a cool website. Right now my homepage is cool, but it is mediocre. I need something with bite.

Well, some interesting news. Jabber Dot Org has been having difficulties, at least what I can see through Psi. Also, there is an effort starting, to port Debian to the PPC 64-bit G5s. *SWOON*

Just doing my second portupgrade on FBSD 4.9. I tried it on 5.1 and the kernel segfaulted. It looks like it's going to work. it was probably because 5.1 did NOT like my hardware.

Just heard I am going to have an interview for a job, which will remain unnamed because it's kind of lame. However, school is almost out, and I am going to really read the programming books I have and take a break from school. I don't know if I want to learn Python or Perl.

Oh hey! FreeBSD 4.9 was released on the 29th? No one told me. Well, it's installed on my box. W00t?
