Did a Slack->potato update on my family's firewall yesterday. It went pretty smooth with the help of neuro who has done a few of these already. Now all I have to is clean up the leftover crap. apt-get is sweeet.

It's been a while since I entered a diary entry but not much is new.

I think all my modules are ready for QA testing.

Spicey peanuts make me sneaze.

Worked some of the sunny long weekend. What fun!

Found some bugs yesterday that I fixed today. Something about wanting a list entry that was already deleted. /me fun with steak's himself.

I have my Annual General Meeting for my strata tonight. Joy.

Hmm, weekend was good. Nice weather got me outside. It's starting to seem like summer again.

Congrats to my bud, neuro on becoming a full debian developer.

I finally got some UT playing time in. Kicked some ass too which means the other players were pretty lame ;)

The people that went to Linuxworld Expo Japan are back today. Horray for swag and goodies!

bah. Over the weekend I spend most of my time bashing my head over gettext. Yesterday I finaaly figured out what I had wrong so I gettexted one of neuro's modules as well.

I have the adduser module converted to sil2 but it isn't working correctly yet.

I had a look at IBM's Toppage beta. Nice product if you want a wysiwyg html editor. I don't and won't be using it.

I still haven't received my thinkgeek order. it better come soon. I like getting toys at work.

It feels like it's time to do some bookshopping too.

my computer at work is freezing up like crazy. so i have diagnose that today. I love how computers decide to break down upon the coming of deadlines. I had a hard drive fail over time during a final project in an AI course a few years back.

I also need to work on getting the company phone directory into my palm.

Nice company party friday night. Dinner was good. Skye came too had had a good time.

Writing help is a pain in the ass. The penguin mints help though.

  • One SAS module is off to Q&A for testing. I hope not too many bugs show up. On to an install module now.
  • I need to stop eating pizza every night.
  • can't think of anything else so I must go to sleep.
My Easter weekend

Friday:

  • did the good friday thing
  • downloaded the latest Canvas beta - these guys don't really understand Debian packaging
  • also had a look at CoffeeCup. I didn't like it too much. It didn't really follow the GTK theming and it kept crashing. Oh and for some reason it wouldn't paste but maybe that was a shareware thing.
  • installed a working 413a patch for Unrealtournament. Woohoo!

Saturday:

  • Worked on some websites that I volunteer to do. There was a hard drive crash a while ago and I didn't have any recent backups (slaps side of head) so it's been a pain to get these sites up again.
Sunday:
  • Cooked Easter Dinner for my family (minus my mom who is in Quesnel visiting my cousin and her new baby). Steaks and Prawns on the BBQ is my kind of Easter dinner ;)

Now back to work on my Storm Linux modules. Oh I saw I am a Jouneyer now. Cool.

April 15, 2000
