Notes: Muks and I were trying to start up the Tungsten Project, which aims to design open-source chips like DSPs, video cores and other such things... Just haven't had the energy lately, I guess.
Finished my BS in Computer Engineering, just in time to get laid off from VA Linux. Happy happy, joy, joy, joy.

Note: Organizations scanning advogato for email addresses to spam may want to include uce@ftc.gov and report@fraud.org in their lists...
It's tough trying to keep my morale up. I try to make new tasks for myself (learning SDL is number 1) but the TiVo has turned into such a sweet, sweeeet distraction.
I suppose now I'll have the time to actually get down to some happy iPaq hackin', or working on Tungsten. It's just a lot easier to do when you're not worrying about where the next paycheck will come from, I guess...

On the academic side of things, embedded systems is turning out to be a fairly natural thing. I'm really enjoying getting my iPaq going with Linux while I work on a StrongARM project here at Davis. Now if I could only get my cross-compiler working right... Hmmm.

Not that I'm done with SourceForge... I really want to fix themes, and maybe add a theme manager. But for the next 6 months, school's gotta come first.
Now if I could only remember where I put that textbook...
Pondering writing an installer for SourceForge in PERL using curses bindings. Need to look into it further, when I get the time. Which puts it on track for release in June 2031...
