Ok, at long last I've decided to write a public diary. I'd originally planned to start an account in the very early days of Advogato and delayed doing so for a weekend which cost me the use of my name. I'm not know as Dunc anywhere but here and will have to get used to that fact. Someone recently told me that they planned to name their child Duncan for the simple reason that it was the only name that wouldn't get shortened. Some how this struck me as something I'd unconciously related to for my whole life.
