Atlantik 0.3.1 is out, as well as monopd 0.4.3. And there is a new screenshot of upcoming features for m 0.5.0 and A 0.4.0!

Atlantik 0.3.0 has been out for some days already but I'm already preparing a 0.3.1 release so you can play more Monopoly-like board games with less bugs. For some weird reason bugfixing gives me a bigger happy than working on new features these days, so monopd 0.4.2 is also out.

I might be hosting some more projects on UNIXcode.org soon. Give me enough time and UC.org (oughta get that shortcut!) will kick ass and it will kick it hard too! ;)

Boys and girls, EXTRA_DIST is very important when you use make dist. Released a new version of monopd yesterday without any README files. But don't worry, today is a day for celebrations ;) so monopd 0.4.1 is ready for you. Includes the packaging fixes, some bug fixes and of course all the new stuff that was in 0.4.0.

Atlantik update will be coming soon.

Some weekends are just great. After several weeks of hardly any coding activity at all I found time, inspiration and itches again and the results may be there! The monopd boardgame server finally supports the dreaded "10% or $200"-tax which is part of the official Monopoly rules. See the monopd News page for full details on this game rules and its implementation.

On a sadder note: some of the monopd changes necessary changed the API and gameplay enough that older clients will not work anymore. So, cvs up your Atlantik checkout! More details on how the monopd changes affect Atlantik can be found on the Atlantik News page, including workarounds for older Atlantik versions.

Also some good news on KDEnews.UNIXcode.org: we're fixing bugs, getting article submissions.. hopefully new items keep filling the queue and more users will register!

Looking forward to making some new releases of my code the next few weeks. KDE 3.1 will be out in a couple of months and for the first time in a long while I feel like I can include a decent Atlantik with it. :)

Well, like neil has also written in his diary, KDEnews.UNIXcode.org is up! Hopefully the community will fill the queues and post a lot of juicy replies!

Just wanted to plug my new e-mail address due to a lack of other news: dot@dot-at.at. There are probably some small project updates but nothing special, except the upcoming launch of a new KDE news and community site (expect June 26 to be the launch date).

Also, I will most likely revive the Real FC project (football/soccer manager game) again, first by moving the website to the beloved UNIXcode.org and later by actually working on the code again. So stay tuned.

Atlantik is now at version 0.2.0 and it has a new website on UNIXcode.org. monopd is at version 0.3.0 these days and also has a new website.

Monopd CVS is specifically interesting to watch these days since there is now libmath++ support allowing for some real funky game board setups that take advantage of dynamic rules using run-time game variables.

Released new versions of Atlantik (0.1.1) and Uptimed (0.1.7) in the past weeks, so I decided to drop by again and write something about it. It's almost marketing.

Skipping sleep at LinuxTag seems to have paid off: all the dirty work for monopd I did there will probably lead to a 0.2 release this weekend, making monopd the first open and free network-based implementation of the Monopoly game supporting all of the official game rules!

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
