The idea behind the module is to provide a safe mechanism for ftping files to a webserver. The problem we have is that we don't want a ftp daemon running on the web servers. This module will allow you to ftp to a machine that you can secure slightly better. The files will then be rsync'd over ssh to the web server based on various rules in the proftpd config files. This means that you can config the rules based on how a file will be stored very tightly.
