Today, the W3C announced a new initiative to emphasize ease of implementation in specification design. 'Encouraging adoption is the most important part of making protocols useful for the future internet' said Tim Berners-Lee.

In other good news, the IETF announced a new policy in RFCs against using MUST to describe behavior which is widely violated in practice, especially when that violation won't change for the forseeable future.
