I am in my High School's marching band and I am learning much more now that I'm teaching the less experienced students. I now understand that "Lessons" are just as important for those who are taking them as for those who are giving them.

Only by teaching, I guess, can I teach myself .. i suppose teaching could just as easily be synonymous with learning ..

As wierd as it may seem, I am beginning to understand how teaching somebody how to teach themselves music will help me greatly in helping myself teach myself to program -- something I have always wanted to learn aside from the complications of everyday life.
