New email list 'wannabees'

The wannabees email list (also here) is a place for present and aspiring Free Software/Open Source Software developers to discuss related logistical and personal issues, e.g.: How do I work on Free Software and make a living doing it? How do I find the time and discipline to do such work?

All are welcome, regardless of level of experience or skill. I hope that some of you who are doing well with these kinds of issues will join and pass some of your experience and knowledge along.

Noone else has replied, which I think is mainly because there's not much to be said about the topic. But I'd like to applaud the effort, it looks to me like it could fill a niche in the free software ecology.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
